Our philosophy is to bring up young horses on our local Trillium circuit under the tutelage of great trainers.  This allows our horses to get the millage and experience they will require to move up to the National Level.  At Horizon Stables we are very proud of our breeding program.  We trust that you will find your next world class horse with us.

Horizon Stables breeds and develops performances horses suited for Show Jumping and the Hunter Ring.  So if you are looking for proven bloodlines and excellent track records, be sure to check out our horses.  They range in age from weanling to retired for breeding.  If a young prospect is what you are looking for, we have 2002 and 2003 horses by Popeye K, Numero Uno, Corland and other international sires come take a look at what we have.  We also have thoroughbreds off the track who are turned into quality hunters.  Its' a horse supermarket, all under one roof, 35 minutes from Ottawa International Airport.  If you have a specific requirement in a young horse contact us!

Horizon Stables is also a full service facility located minutes away from the  Scotia Bank Place (Ottawa, Canada).  Our goal is to offer quality clinics from renowned equestrians, host competitions, coach riders from short stirrups to Hunter champions or jumping clean rounds in the Grand Prix ring. We make sure our facility is a haven for both the horse and rider.

Horizon Stables specializes in breeding, selling and training of competition horses to buyers in the USA, Canada, and Europe.  We have business links with several international horse producers for the provision of young talented show-jumpers and hunters  If we don't have something on site one of our other dealers sure will.

Facility Information

The stable is built on 132-acre site located just outside Ottawa Canada in a town called Ashton.  The grounds contain permanent show grounds that host multiple Trillium shows, Schooling shows, clinics and various other equestrian events.   There is a large heated indoor arena with an extensive viewing lounge.  The barn consists of 30+ stalls, a wash stalls, three convenient tack rooms and acres of turnout for your horses.  There is a  various jumping fields and immediate access to ridding trails in the vicinity.  Clients boarding horses here have full access to these facilities and may use the rings and arena up till 9pm.

Directions to the Farm

From Downtown: Take the 417, Queensway West to HWY 7 (Carleton Place). exit.  Proceed on HWY 7 until you reach Cemetery road and turn left.  Continue down this road for 1-2 min.  Just past the stop sign the road changes to Derry Side Road and the farm is just ahead on your left.  You will see the big sign at the end of the laneway next to the show grounds.
